Dr Adrian Cameron is an epidemiologist and research fellow working in the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research. Before joining Deakin he worked on the national and longitudinal Australian Diabetes, Obesity and lifestyle Study (AusDiab) for nine years. He completed his PhD through the Monash University Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine on the topic of the validity, causes and consequences of the metabolic syndrome using data from the AusDiab study. In 2005, Dr Cameron spent 12 months training the research staff in epidemiologic methods and biostatistics at the ICDDRB Centre for Population Health in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His current research involves the investigation of behavioural, social and environmental influences on childhood eating and nutrition.
