Welcome

Welcome to Deakin's Online Induction Program - it has been developed to enable you to access a wide range of important information about the University, and ideally should be completed in your first week of employment.

User Login

In order to access all parts of this program, you must login using your Deakin Username and password - please see the left hand corner of this page.  Failure to complete login will cause an "Access Denied" message in some parts of the program.

Navigation

Use the "Next" and "Back" buttons at the bottom of each page to move through the program.  The Program Menu on the left hand side of each page will highlight to indicate your progress through the material.

To ensure your understanding, a quiz completes each section of the program.  Complete each quiz by clicking on the correct answer.  Following each Quiz, you will need to click on the next topic on the Menu on the left hand side of the page in order to return you to the next section of material.

You can also use the Menu on the left hand side to jump to a particular page or section.

The    icon at the bottom of each page will enable you to bookmark any information that you find particularly relevant or important - so don't forget to use this function to highlight information that you may need to reference again in the future.

To ensure that this program meets the needs of new staff members, we welcome your feedback.  As you move through the program, you can rate the usefulness of each page by clicking on the appropriate number of 'stars'  in the bottom left hand corner.  Your suggestions for improvement, reporting of faults/broken links, and requests for new information to be included may be forwarded directly to Human Resources using the 'Contact Us' button on the top menu line.
